Communal Flue Systems (CFs) are relatively new in the Shared Flue world. Working similarly to a U duct, usually passing air for combustion from the roof space, via a stainless steel duct then back up via an internal concentric duct, collecting any products of combustion along the way. CFs are also capable of collecting condensation from the newer condensing appliances and passing them to safety.
On a Communal Flue System, the inlet allowing in air for combustion can be found on the roof, usually as a part of the terminal itself - some communal flues can be exhaust only, which means there will be a separate inlet elsewhere.
Initially we'll check that this inlet is capable of passing enough air for combustion through the duct, before then gaining access to the main flue itself.
We'll take duct velocity and temperature readings, before then passing the endoscopic camera, capable of panning, tilting and zooming in on any issues we recognise, from the terminal to the duct base.
Heading down from the roof, we'll check to see that the flue itself is continuous and undamaged, before, when reaching the base, checking the condensate trap either in or outside of the flue itself, depending on whether it is a positive or neutral pressured duct.
Once all ducts are inspected, we'll head back to our Derbyshire office and start on your report.
Each Report will consist of a description of your property, highlighting each duct and any associated issues backed up by a Memory Stick USB, with all recordings and associated still images.
Any serious safety issues found on the day of the inspection will be passed to you immediately in real time, backed up by a Safety Warning Notice later that day for any Immediately Dangerous situations and within 24hrs for any At Risk, describing what the issue is and where.
Book your inspection in now for a date later in the year to secure an excellent price and your choice of date (subject to other bookings).
3 and 5 year deals also available, giving you the opportunity to save money going forward.
Newly situated in the heart of Derbyshire, we are ready to inspect for you.
We inspect across the country, from Plymouth to Glasgow and further afield as and when required.
